2008-2009

During our second year in the US FIRST Robotics many of our successes were through the competition, our community service, and the spreading of US FIRST throughout the community. Due cause of the honors we earned, we had the opportunity to go to International in Atlanta, Georgia once again! The awards that our team had earned were:

First Place in the New Jersey Regional

(Regional Winners)

First place is awarded to the team who reaches to the end of the competition and wins with their alliance in the finals. These teams are given the honor to compete in the Internationals. Our team having the chance to compete with two other skilled robots won the regional contest with our alliance members.

Finalists in the New York City Regional

(Regional Finalists)

This team makes it to the final rounds but accepts defeat against the other alliance. This team is one the three teams in the alliance of three. Making it to the end, our robot put up the struggle to compete with our alliance members. Due cause of several points, we lost the finals but still ended up being proud of our teams accomplishments.

Chairmans Award at the NYC Regional

This award is one of the top awards given in the US FIRST competitions. At least two years of required participation in the US FIRST is mandatory, community service and spreading of science and technology through the US FIRST program throughout the community are the attributes needed to win this award. This award was given to us for our efforts to help the community in through our works, and this award is given to the US FIRST team who best models the missions and purposes of the US FIRST organization.
